Nailsea Tithe Barn dates from 1480 and, with Holy Trinity Church, is part of Nailsea’s historic heart. A school for over 200 years, it is now fully restored to its medieval origins. The vaulted ceiling, stonework and owl & putlog holes are some of the beautiful features. It's accessible and has modern facilities and is available for public hire.

With over 500 years of history the Tithe Barn has many a tale to tell.

The Tithe Barn School team is very grateful to local business Priority Express, for sponsoring our Nailsea Tithe Barn bookmarks. This means that every child who comes to a school session has a brief history of the Barn and a memento of their visit to take home with them.
Many thanks to Neil and all at Priority Express for their generosity.

On Saturday 17th January, Tithe Barn Trustees and some of Nailsea Town councillors came to Barleywood, the last home of Hannah More. They were here to mark the launch of an online digital resource which brings hundreds of documents related to all aspects of Hannah More's life freely available. It will be used by academics and those with an interest in the many areas to which she devoted her life. Our own Dr Jo Edwards has had an important part to play in developing this resource that will be valued across the globe by those who appreciate the part Hannah More played as one of the most influential female phlianthropists of her day.
