Nailsea Tithe Barn dates from 1480 and, with Holy Trinity Church, is part of Nailsea’s historic heart. A school for over 200 years, it is now fully restored to its medieval origins. The vaulted ceiling, stonework and owl & putlog holes are some of the beautiful features. It's accessible and has modern facilities and is available for public hire.

With over 500 years of history the Tithe Barn has many a tale to tell.
On Tuesday 26th May, possibly the hottest day of the year so far, 39 Friends of the Tithe Barn and some of their friends, visited the American Museum, at Claverton, near Bath.
The coach journey there was not an especially enjoyable experience, with delays, diversions, and heavy traffic most of the way. But our driver got us there, despite the last few hundred metres being particularly testing for a coach this size!
Once there, we were able to explore the house itself, and the delightful grounds, at our leisure.
Our homeward journey was a much more enjoyable experience, with our driver choosing a very pleasant route, taking in some of Somerset's wonderful countryside. The end of a most enjoyable day out. Click here to see some of the delights of the American Museum.

Earlier this year the Friends of Nailsea Tithe Barn visited the WW2 underground Air Raid Shelters in the centre of Bristol.
We all agreed it was a great experience and would recommend it to all!
